So many photos!

Hey Mom!

I will get the suit tomorrow! Because I'm not next to the mission office :(
But this week was all right! We got transfer calls! And I'm staying here with Elder Lowry! I am super excited to be here! Elder Lowry and I are doing great!

We had a great experience this week! So...We are teaching a woman whose husband is a member and her stepdaughter is serving a mission in Japan and we got to team teach with the daughter over Skype! It was so amazing to teach with her through technology. It's kinda been hard to find ways that technology is a blessing but I am starting to see the impact that technology is having on the work of the Lord. I love seeing the work of the Lord go forth!

Other news we are teaching a guy named Mario who is in a part member family. Part member families are great for missionary work! He has been working with the missionaries for a long time. But he is on track to be baptized in October!!!!

So it's been a pretty great week. We have hard days like everyone else does but the hard days pass. And joy always exceeds sadness. So keeping giving life all you got! Cause the Lord is on your side! And we can't lose with the Lord on our side!!!!

I miss my family so much. I have a kinda strange favor to ask. Haha, don't laugh...but can you send me a pair of my cowboy boots, the red top ones? No, I'm not allowed toe wear them while doing missionary work but I can wear them on prep day and while doing service. I think with those I will just be great. Thank you mom, for everything you do! And even though I'm not around my family I get strength to go on each and every day from my family. I love my family Tell the family how much I love them!

Learning more every week!

Well, tell Malachi and Kayla congrats for me! I miss my family so much. I miss you, mom!

I saw Seviah's picture. She has her permit!!!!!! What???

The pictures are just stuff I took during the past week. The horse thing we walked by yesterday while seeking with faith.

There seems to be so much going on right now back home and I kinda feel like I am missing out a bit. But I know the work of the Lord is important!

This week for us was slow we didn't have a lot to do and we don't have any new people to teach we will soon we are going to be teaching a lady whose husband is a member and his daughter is serving a mission in Japan and she will be Skyping in for the lessons which will be pretty cool. But there will be more next week! We did have a multi-zone conference with our mission president and it was absolutely amazing our president is truly called of God and he has so much that he teaches us. All the fires in this are are done. They got them all out. So, yeah, that is better, but the fire always sucks here no matter what, haha.

There was something that I learned from the spirit about the Atonement and it is something along the lines of "just having a negative attitude is denying the power of the Atonement " so always be happy and use the Atonement of the Savior!

Keep going to the temple. The temple is a beacon of hope!! I got to head out, we are gonna go give some people a blessing. I love you all!!

Technology is such a blessing and SUCH a nightmare

(We experienced some technical difficulties this week and so Kodren was only able to get one of my emails to him, but luckily it was the one with the photos of his friends who are just returning and just leaving on missions.)

Hi Mom!

How are you? How is the family??
What's new? How's was FL?

So this week was all right but it was hot! Overall I guess it was a pretty good week. We had a lesson with a guy we are teaching named Bobby Bates and he is very prepared for the gospel and he is going to be baptized soon. He just has a couple of things to do then he will be baptized We had one lady that has been taught for a long time. She decided that she doesn't want to be taught anymore. That was really hard because she wants to be baptized and she knows it's true but we can't control her choices.

We had the chance to do service for some elderly people who had to be evacuated because of the ash in the air. The fires are getting better, there are not any in our area. But continue to pray for those who are fighting the fires. The power of prayer is a true gift that we need to use.

But all is well here. Here are some pictures. Hah! Yes, I ate all three of those burgers and ten nuggets haha. Thanks for the pictures of the guys. I'm sad. I miss Josh and James and Sam. The crew. Thank you so much mom! You are the best ever! I love you so much! I love all of you so much! Keep being awesome!

Too busy to write much, but there are pictures!

How are you? How is the family? How is everything going? What's new?

Everything here is going just dandy!

We taught Brenda this week and Bobby and Susan. We also taught a woman who has been taught for a while now and she has the desire. She is seeking the gospel and it is great to see.

We have been doing a lot of work with less active members for YSA and the family ward and it is a great feeling when there are people who haven't been to church in a long time and you see them come back to church and start to remember the things they want in their life and how it can truly help them come back to Christ and grow that relationship closer and closer everyday. I have been learning a lot about the small and simple things and about how the gospel is so simple and we just have to do the simple things to make it back to our Father in Heaven. The simple things are the tools he has given and we need to take those tools and use them EACH DAY! For ourselves and to make sure we help others come closer to Christ.

This week we also did service and we had a funny experience. We were going to the temple and we had a guy from the YSA ward with us and he said that his ex-girlfriend might be interested and pointed out her house to us. Of course we then wrote it down, this was important information. Then, the next day, we went and knocked on the door and a member answered the door and we were super confused and so. was the member. So, they had been living there for a long time. And the single guy gave us the wrong house but we got to visit with them and we got  a sandwich and it was very good but it was funny!

As for the pictures, most of them are just random pictures we took this week. There is one of a fire that is over the mountain from us and then the rest are just fun. (The photos of my companion and me at restaurants and in a family's home are photos that were sent to my mom by the Danley family via text. They are such a great family!! Their little girl loves the missionaries!!)

So that's all folks!

Transfer and catch up

I am so far behind on this blog but I am promising to do better and to catch everyone up with the adventures o...
