Transfer and catch up
I am so far behind on this blog but I am promising to do better and to catch everyone up with the adventures of Elder Egbert. Today he was transferred to the Lake Elsinore zone, the city of Wildomar to be exact. It is a rather drab and semi-arid place and it is definitely hot! He was previously serving in Menifee with Elder Gregson and loved it there but he is excited to be going to a new place and serving with Elder Campbell. It is beginning to heat up in California and that is never a happy thing for Elder Egbert but he will survive. (I don't want to hear about it since it is the final week of seminary for the year and we may be forced to have a snow day cancellation.)
Photos: The first is Elder Egbert and Elder Gregson on their bikes on a hot and dusty road.
The second and third are BASEBALL on prep day. Nothing finer!
The next is proof that Kodren can cook and it even looks yummy. (Spicy chicken tacos is the dish in case you were wondering.)
Next is Elder Egbert and Elder Emry doing their favorite kind of service work at the train museum.
Next a cool sunset.
The next is a giant #2 pencil. Oh, and there are elders standing next to the giant #2 pencil. Elders Nielson, Egbert, Gregson, and Emry have had a lot of success together and they will miss each other.
There is that giant pencil again. This time showcasing just one elder. He is mighty handsome!
The final two photos were sent to me by a ward member and they truly cracked me up. Yep, that is another elder getting the higher work of train polishing done on the shoulders of my son. So many different ways to serve...
